Sloe Centrale, Vlissingen selects Navita for Contract Management System implementation

Sloe Centrale, Vlissingen (owned jointly by DELTA. and EDF) has selected Navita to design, develop and implement a Contract Management System with which to manage the complex commercial arrangements relating to the plant’s Tolling Agreement. The Tolling Agreement, and its associated Toll Share Agreement, cater for a variety of plant operating conditions and requires complex algorithmic interpretation.
The Sloe Centrale plant is to be jointly tolled by DELTA and EDF with the off-take power traded by each party on the de-regulated European power market. The Navita Contract Management System (coined TAMS: Tolling Agreement Management System by Sloe Centrale) will play a central part in the commercial management of the plant, ensuring that the plant operator is correctly rewarded and each Toller is allocated the correct share of the fixed and variable costs.

“Sloe Centrale selected Navita because of their excellent record of developing similar systems for other Tolling parties, notably Centrica, InterGen, Shell and ESB. Having seen their core system and discussed our requirements with them, we are convinced that Navita can deliver our Contract Management System on time and to budget”
Commented Ton Vrijdag, General Manager at Sloe Centrale.

“I was particularly pleased to secure this contract with Sloe Centrale because it confirms that Navita is the first choice for utilities who are seeking a robust, reliable IT system with which to manage their commercial operations under a Tolling Agreement. Having delivered similar systems in the UK, Spain and Nigeria, we are looking forward to working with Sloe Centrale, EDF and DELTA in what is an important power project for the Dutch power market”
Said Knut Johansen, CEO, Navita Systems AS
